The Place:
You will live in a 90m2 loft that has all appliances (washing machine/dishwasher/microwave/full stove), two bathrooms, two large walk-in closets, hardwood floors, high ceilings, and lots of light. We also have a house cleaner that comes once a week, we pay her 10 euros each every week. The loft i's in the Belleville neighborhood of Paris which benefits from easy access to lots of cool bars and restaurants, a less than 5 minute walk to line 2 (Belleville or Couronnes), a less than 5 minutes walk to Oberkampf, a 15 minute walk to Buttes Chaumont park, a 10 minute walk to Parc de Belleville and lots of other cool places. It has an artistic soul and amazing girls from all over the world have lived here that's why we are used to say about it that ''what comes in the loft stays in the loft''.
Us:
There are two girls who are currently living in the loft: a French film maker and an Australian burlesque dancer. Our other Australian roommate is living us to go back home (sniff...sniff). We get along very well and enjoy having dinner together, going to the movies, going to concerts, having wine, etc. We are laid back but also considerate of each other and the fact that we share a living space. While you don't need to be our best friend, we are looking for more than just another roommate, we are hoping to find the right personality match for our place.
What's on offer:
The living room space in our loft is available. As our loft is quite large, we do use this space as the third bedroom, although technically it's not a 'bedroom'. We do not find this to be a problem as there are still plenty of seating areas in the room and we are respectful of each other's privacy. The place will be available from February 5 onwards. The rent will be 570 Euros per month and does not include bills. A one month deposit will be required.
Things you need to know:
We pay our rent in cash every month and we don't have a formal lease so if you need to have a recorded address for French residence purposes, this is probably not the place for you. Finally, we love living in Belleville for many reasons but this neighborhood is not for everybody as it's not typically Parisian. It's an artistic neighborhood with a working class/immigrant feel. We love that about here but also feel that we should mention that if you're looking for a traditional Parisian area, Belleville is probably not for you. The loft is for you if you're open-minded, like having fun, and enjoy meeting new people.
